How to Repair Paperjam Printers

Paper jam / paper jam is a general damage that occurs in printers, especially laserjet, the following steps are corrected so that the printer does not add damage, because wrong handling can increase printer spare parts damage.

Following are the steps:

First step: Remove all loose paper in the past

Take all loose paper from the input tray, paper pickup, and output tray.

Second step: Remove the paper jam

Follow the steps to remove a paper jam from the product.
Press the Power button to turn off the product
Then unplug the power cord from the back of the product
Open the cartridge door
Then remove the cartridge

NOTE: Opening the print cartridge door and removing the print cartridge reduces tension on the product rollers, which prevents damage to the product and makes the removal of jammed pages easier.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the cartridge, cover it with a piece of paper to minimize exposure to direct light.

With both hands, hold which paper is most visible, including the center, and then carefully pull the paper directly from the product.

Look inside the product for each piece of paper or label, and then clean it.
If there is paper jam in the input tray or output tray, hold it with both hands and gently pull it.
Reinstall the cartridge, then close the cartridge door.

Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product, then press the Power button to turn on the product.

Step Three: Reset the Printer

Press the Power button to turn off the product
Wait 30 seconds
Then press the Power button to turn on the product

Step Four: Reload the Paper

Slide the length and width of the paper to the outermost position.
Flatten an ordinary stack, white paper on a flat surface to align the sides.
Insert paper in the input tray with the first narrow edge and the print side facing up.
Slide the length and width of the paper in until it stops at the end of the paper.

Step Five: Check Print Settings

Follow the steps to check and adjust the print settings for the current software program.

NOTE: Steps can vary depending on the software program.

From the File menu in the software program, click Print.
In the Print dialog box, click Properties.
Check the settings on the Paper / Quality tab, change them if necessary, and then click OK.
Try printing again.

If these steps solve the problem, there is no need to continue again, meaning the problem is complete.
If the problem continues, see the next step.

Step Six: Clean the Cartridge Area

During the printing process, paper, toner, and dust particles can accumulate inside the product and can cause paper jams. Follow the steps to clean the print cartridge area.

Turn off the product, then unplug the power cord from the back of the product. Wait until the product is cold.
Open the top access door, and then remove the cartridge.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the cartridge, cover the cartridge with a sheet of paper to minimize direct exposure to light.

With a dry, lint-free cloth, clean dust / dirt from the paper path area and cartridge bay.

CAUTION: Do not touch the transfer roller of the black sponge inside the product. Thus, you can damage the product.
Reinsert the cartridge, and then close the top access door.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
Press the power button to turn on the product.
Try printing again.

If these steps resolve the problem, you do not need to continue to resolve the problem.
If the problem persists, continue to the next step.

Step Seven: Printer Service

If you have completed all the previous steps and are still having problems, then:
If your product is still under warranty, contact HP.
If your product is not guaranteed, immediately bring it to our place to be serviced / repaired
